PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
1) Assistant Professor in Pediatrics (Dec 2006 to Dec 2007)
Sri Devraj Urs Medical college & Research Centre, Kolar.
This being my first job after post graduation, I actively took the responsibility of conducting ward rounds, clinics and making appropriate management plans. I always had discussions regarding the newer guidelines and management plans with the senior staff when necessary and ensured we have offered the right management to our patients. Here my on-call rotation was 1:3, which involves PICU, postnatal ward admission and NICU management.
2) Assistant Professor in Pediatrics (Dec 2007 to june 08), at Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences
3) Senior Resident in Pediatric Gastroenterology & Hepatology, SGPGIMS, Lucknow, UP(july 08 to june 09). Here I did my Post Doctoral Certificate course in pediatric gastroenterology. I completed my tenure of one yr on june 30th 2009.This is the first Pediatric Gastro department in India established in 2002.We have one professor, one associate professor and two assist professors in the department all of them having many publications to their credit.I was working under Dr SK Yachha who is well known figure in the field of pediatric gastroenterology both at national and international levels.I have done liver biopsies, endoscopies,TPN.
4) Asst Prof in paediatrics (Aug 09 to till date), at PES Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Kuppam, AP)
5) Consultant Pediatric Gastroenterologist (Feb 2010 to till date), at Indiragandhi Institute of Child Health, Bangalore.
RESEARCH EXPERIENCE:
I had undertaken a clinical research project as part of my dissertation titled
“A CLINICAL STUDY OF HYPERNATREMIC DEHYDRATION IN ACUTE GASTROENTERITIS IN CHILDREN ” at Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital, Department of Pediatrics, under the guidance of Dr. kavita Mogale, Professor,Dept of Pediatrics.

Workshop on Pediatric Advanced Life Support - Ramaiaha Medical College, 2005.
CLINICAL PROCEDURES:

OBJECTIVES/ CAREER GOALS:
To establish pediatric gastroenterology and hepatology department in a good hospital ( as there is no pediatric gastroenterology dept in Karnataka/Bangalore).
To gain good clinical experience, keep my competencies up to date.
Area of Interest: pediatric liver diseases, which include Neonatal Cholestasis, Chronic liver diseases, Fulminant hepatic failure.
